These terms are provided in Korean and English. If the two versions differ, the English version applies (Article 19).
These terms apply to everyone who uses Scout. For users and clubs in Korea the contracting party is Nectr Limited (넥터 주식회사); for everyone else it is Team Scout Inc. For users who registered before 16 October 2026 they apply from 15 November 2026 or, if later, 30 days after the first notice reached you; until then the Terms of Use effective 25 March 2025 apply.
1.1 Scout is a team-management service for youth and amateur sports: apps for iOS and Android, a web app and the related websites (together, the "Services").
1.2 Your contracting party ("Scout", "we", "us") depends on where you are. If you are in the Republic of Korea, or a member of a club or team based in the Republic of Korea: Nectr Limited (넥터 주식회사). Anywhere else: Team Scout Inc., a Delaware corporation. Each company's details are in the contact block at the end of these terms.
1.3 These terms (including Articles 10 and 11, which are the payment terms for anyone who pays through Scout), the Privacy Policy, and, if you run a team or club, the Coach and Club Terms and the Payment Processing Agreement form your agreement with Scout. If the terms for a specific feature conflict with these terms, those terms apply to that feature.
2.1 You accept these terms by ticking the acceptance box when you create a Scout account. Scout records the version id of the terms you accepted, a hash of their text, the language they were shown in, the time, the Account and the channel (app or web). The box is never ticked for you, and Scout does not record an acceptance if the text could not be shown to you.
2.2 If you registered before 16 October 2026, these terms apply to you from 15 November 2026 or, if later, 30 days after the first notice reached you. Scout tells you what has changed in the app and by email before then and asks you to accept in the app. From 15 November 2026 or, if later, 30 days after the first notice reached you, the limited mode in Article 17.5 applies until you accept. If you do not accept, you may ask for your Account to be deleted or your data exported under Article 14.4. Anything that requires your consent under the Personal Information Protection Act takes effect only when you give that consent; continued use alone is not treated as consent.
2.3 If you use the Services for a club, team or academy, you also confirm that you have authority to bind that organisation, and the Coach and Club Terms apply to you in that role.
2.4 If you do not accept these terms, do not use the Services.
2.5 For a Child account (under 14) a linked Guardian accepts on the Child's behalf, and Scout records the accepting Guardian, the Child and the Guardian's attestation together. Where more than one Guardian is linked, one Guardian's acceptance is enough. A Child profile inside a Guardian's Account is covered by the Guardian's own acceptance. A player aged 14 or over accepts for themselves. Scout never treats a Child account as having accepted these terms.
"Account" means a Scout login held by a person, including a guardian account, a coach account and a child account.
"Child" means a person under 14. "Child account" means an Account held by a Child with a guardian's consent. "Child profile" means a record of a Child that a guardian manages inside their own Account, with no separate login.
"Guardian" means a parent or legal guardian of a player under the age of majority (19 in Korea; 18 in most other countries).
"Organisation" means a club, team, academy or league that uses Scout, and the people who run it ("coaches" and "club administrators").
"Seller" means whoever sells a product you buy through Scout: an Organisation (Article 10) or Scout itself (Article 11).
"User Content" means anything you or your Organisation post, upload or send through the Services, including photos, videos, messages, documents and profile details.
"Payment Processing Agreement" means the agreement (version scout-ppa-v2.1) that a club or coach accepts when it enables payments. It binds sellers only; for you as a payer, Articles 10 and 11 of these terms are the payment terms.
4.1 Adults (19 and over in Korea; 18 and over elsewhere) may hold any kind of Account.
4.2 Players aged 14 and over who are under the age of majority may hold their own Account. Anything that costs money must be bought by a Guardian; the player cannot enter a paid contract through Scout.
4.3 A Child (under 14) may use Scout only as a Child account created and consented to by a Guardian, or as a Child profile inside a Guardian's Account. A Child account cannot buy anything. A Guardian links to an existing Child account with a one-time link code generated from the Child's own account, or creates a parent-managed Child profile inside their own Account. Scout does not otherwise verify that the person who links or creates a Child profile is the Child's Guardian; names, birthdates and team membership are not treated as proof of guardianship. The Guardian is responsible for the Child's use of Scout, for keeping the Child's information accurate, and for only creating or linking profiles of children they are the parent or legal guardian of.
4.4 In the United States, Scout does not knowingly create an Account for a child under 13 without verifiable parental consent; in the UK and EU the age at which a young person can consent for themselves is between 13 and 16 depending on the country, and Scout applies the Guardian rules above to anyone under the local age.
4.5 Scout may ask for proof of age or guardianship and may suspend an Account until it is given (Article 14).
4.6 You confirm that you are not in a country, or on a list, that would make it unlawful for Scout to provide the Services to you under export or sanctions laws.
5.1 Give accurate information when you register and keep it current. One person, one Account; an Organisation may have several people with coach or club-administrator roles.
5.2 Keep your sign-in details to yourself. You are responsible for what is done through your Account unless it results from a failure on Scout's side. Tell us at once at hello@teamscout.app if you think someone else has used your Account.
5.3 A Guardian may manage one or more Child profiles and may link to a Child account. A link to a Child account is made under Article 4.3: the Child's account generates a one-time link code and the Guardian enters it. Adding a player to a team roster is done by the Organisation's coach or club administrator, not by Scout.
5.4 An Account may be created for you when a coach adds you to a roster or a club invites you. You decide whether to keep that Account; you can delete it at any time (Article 14.4).
6.1 Scout gives you a personal, non-transferable, revocable licence to use the Services as they are made available to you. You may not copy, resell, scrape, reverse engineer or interfere with the Services or use them to build a competing product.
6.2 Scout may add, change or remove features. Where a change removes a feature you have paid for, Article 11 (subscriptions) or Article 17 (changes to these terms) applies.
6.3 You need a compatible device and internet access. Your carrier may charge you for data, messages and downloads.
6.4 If you installed Scout from the Apple App Store or Google Play, their terms also apply to the download and to any in-app purchase billed by them. Apple and Google are not parties to these terms and have no obligation to support the Services.
6.5 The Services may link to or integrate with services Scout does not control (maps, messaging apps, payment providers). Their terms and privacy policies apply to them.
6.6 Scout aims to keep the Services available but does not promise uninterrupted service. Planned maintenance will be announced in the app where practical.
7.1 You may not use the Services to:
7.2 Report a breach of these rules, abuse, or content about a child that should not be there, through the app's report function or to hello@teamscout.app. Scout may remove content and take the actions in Article 14.
8.1 You keep whatever rights you have in your User Content. Scout does not claim ownership of it.
8.2 You give Scout a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, store, copy, resize, transmit and display your User Content, and to let the people you share it with see it, for the purpose of operating, securing and improving the Services. The licence ends when you delete the content or your Account, except that (a) copies in backups are deleted on the backup cycle, and (b) content you have shared with an Organisation's team record (attendance, rosters, messages already delivered) may stay in that record. Scout does not use your User Content for advertising, does not sell it to anyone else, and does not use photos of people to train AI models.
8.3 Anyone who posts a photo or video that shows a child must have permission from that child's Guardian for the way it is shared. Organisations give Scout a warranty to that effect in the Coach and Club Terms. If you see a photo of your child, or of any child, that you believe should not be there, report it through the app's report function or at hello@teamscout.app. Scout reviews reports and removes content where needed. Scout does not review photos before they are posted.
8.4 You are responsible for your User Content and for having the rights and permissions it needs. Scout may remove any User Content that it reasonably believes breaks these terms or the law, and will tell you where it lawfully can.
8.5 If you believe content on the Services infringes your copyright or other rights, write to hello@teamscout.app with the content's location, your rights and your contact details. Scout handles notices under the law that applies to the relevant company (for Team Scout Inc., including the US Copyright Act notice-and-takedown procedure; for Nectr Limited, the Korean Network Act and Copyright Act procedures).
8.6 Content inside a team is visible only to that team's members and the Organisation's staff, and to Scout staff under Article 13.
9.1 When you pay tuition, dues, event fees or anything else an Organisation charges through Scout, the Organisation is the Seller and your contract for that product is with the Organisation. Scout provides the software, shows the charge, collects the payment through its payment providers on the Organisation's behalf, and pays the Organisation. Scout is not a party to that sale and is not responsible for the coaching, classes or services the Organisation provides. In Korea, Scout acts as a mail-order intermediary (통신판매중개자) and not as the mail-order seller. This Article does not remove any responsibility the law places on Scout as an intermediary.
9.2 Scout is the Seller of Scout subscriptions for Organisations (Article 11). Your contract for those is with the Scout company in Article 1.2.
9.3 Scout is not a bank or payment institution. Payments are processed by licensed providers (Toss Payments in Korea; Stripe elsewhere; Apple and Google for store-billed subscriptions). Scout never sees your full card number.
10.1 A paid product for a player under the age of majority is paid for by a Guardian in the Guardian's own name.
10.2 Scout charges a processing fee of 3% of the invoice amount (the amount before the fee). For each invoice the Organisation chooses whether that fee is deducted from what it receives, added to the amount you pay, or split. The amount you will actually pay is shown on the payment screen before you pay.
10.3 Scout provides a receipt for each payment in the app. The Organisation is responsible for its own tax and for any invoice or receipt the law requires it to give you.
10.4 Refunds are decided by the Organisation as the Seller. Ask the Organisation first. If the Organisation agrees to a refund, Scout processes it through the payment provider to your original payment method. Today refunds are processed by Scout by hand when the Organisation or you write to hello@teamscout.app. The amount refunded is the product amount paid to the Organisation; Scout's processing fee is not refunded. Where the law gives you a stronger right (for example a right of withdrawal), that right is unaffected and the Organisation must honour it.
10.5 Where the law gives you a right to withdraw from a distance contract within a set period (7 days in Korea under the E-Commerce Act; 14 days in the UK and EU), that right is unaffected.
10.6 Raise a dispute with the Organisation first. Scout can give you the Organisation's contact details and the records of your payment, and may suspend an Organisation's payment features where payers are at risk.
11.1 Scout offers free and paid plans for Organisations with different limits on teams, players, storage and features. Plan details and prices are shown before you subscribe.
11.2 Paid plans are bought through the Apple App Store or Google Play, are billed in advance for the plan period, and renew automatically at the then-current price until cancelled. Cancellation and refunds are handled in that store's subscription settings under the store's rules. A cancelled subscription runs to the end of the paid period.
11.3 Where a plan comes with a free trial, the price and date of the first charge are shown before the trial starts, and billing begins unless you cancel before the trial ends.
11.4 Price increases apply from the next renewal, and Scout tells you before they apply. In Korea, under the E-Commerce Act, you are charged the changed amount after a price increase or a free-to-paid conversion only if you have agreed to it.
11.5 If you downgrade or your plan lapses, features and capacity above the new plan's limits are hidden, not deleted, so you can export or upgrade. Scout will not delete team data without notice.
12.1 The Privacy Policy explains what Scout collects, why, who sees it, how long it is kept and your rights. It forms part of your agreement with Scout.
12.2 Scout stores service data in the United States (AWS us-east-1 region, through Supabase). The providers Scout uses outside Korea and the overseas-transfer details are set out in the overseas-transfer section of the Privacy Policy.
12.3 Consents you give at sign-up or in the app are recorded (that you consented, and when) and can be withdrawn in the app or by writing to hello@teamscout.app. Scout keeps records of consents, acceptances and withdrawals for 3 years after the consent ends.
13.1 Scout may review, record and disclose activity on the Services as reasonably necessary to comply with a law, regulation or lawful governmental request, to enforce these terms, or to protect the safety of users.
13.2 A small number of Scout engineers may access the production database and storage to the extent needed for support, fixing faults, security investigation and legal compliance. Scout does not notify you of each access and does not display it in the app. You can ask the privacy officer at hello@teamscout.app whether your data, or your child's, has been accessed.
13.3 Scout may take corrective action it considers appropriate, including removing content, warning users, suspending or terminating Accounts, or reporting to authorities.
14.1 Scout may suspend or restrict an Account, or remove content, if it reasonably believes the Account is being used in breach of Article 7, poses a risk to a child or another user, is involved in fraud or a security incident, or is subject to a lawful request. Scout will tell you the reason and how to respond where it lawfully can, and will lift a suspension that turns out to be unjustified. Scout may terminate an Account for a serious or repeated breach, or where required by law.
14.2 If Scout terminates your Account for breach, you are not refunded for Scout products already supplied. If Scout terminates for its own reasons or withdraws a product, you are refunded the unused portion of anything you paid Scout for. Products bought from an Organisation are governed by Article 10.4.
14.3 You can stop using the Services at any time. Cancelling a subscription is described in Article 11.2.
14.4 You can delete your Account in the app (Profile → Login & security → Delete Account) or ask us to delete it by writing to hello@teamscout.app. Deletion removes your profile and personal data within the periods in the Privacy Policy, except (a) records Scout must keep by law (payment records 5 years; consent and acceptance records 3 years after they end) and (b) information that has become part of an Organisation's team record (Article 8.2(b)), which the Organisation controls. A Guardian deleting their Account must also decide what happens to linked Child profiles and Child accounts. You can ask for an export of your data at hello@teamscout.app. You can delete your Account and ask for an export from within the app even while the limited mode in Article 17.5 applies.
14.5 Articles 8.2(b), 15, 16, 18, 19 and 20 survive termination.
15.1 Scout will provide the Services with reasonable care and skill and substantially as described in the app. Nothing in these terms limits the statutory guarantees and rights you have as a consumer, including under the Korean Framework Act on Consumers and the Act on the Regulation of Terms and Conditions, the UK Consumer Rights Act 2015, the EU consumer directives and the Australian Consumer Law.
15.2 Otherwise, and to the extent the law allows, the Services are provided as they are and as available. Scout does not promise that the Services will be error-free, that content supplied by Organisations or other users is accurate, or that an Organisation will provide what it sells. Scout does not supervise coaching sessions, events or transport and is not responsible for what happens at them.
16.1 Scout is liable without limit for death or personal injury caused by its negligence, for fraud, for intentional misconduct or gross negligence, and for anything that cannot be limited by law.
16.2 Subject to 16.1 and to the extent the law allows, Scout is not liable for loss that was not a foreseeable result of its breach, for loss of profit or business, or for loss caused by an Organisation, another user or a third-party service.
16.3 If you use the Services for an Organisation, or you post User Content, and a third party brings a claim against Scout because of your breach of these terms or the law, you will cover Scout's reasonable loss and costs, except to the extent Scout caused them. Scout does not require this of consumers for ordinary personal use.
17.1 Each version of these terms has a version id and an effective date and does not change once published. Earlier versions are available on request at hello@teamscout.app.
17.2 Scout tells you about a new version in the app and by email at least 30 days before a material change takes effect (a change that reduces your rights or adds to your obligations, a change to the payment, refund, liability or dispute articles, or a change that reflects a material change to the Privacy Policy) and at least 14 days before any other change (corrections, clarifications, translation fixes, changes that are not to your disadvantage). The notice summarises what is changing, the effective date, and what happens if you do nothing.
17.3 A new version containing a material change applies to you once you tick the acceptance box in the app, and Scout records the details in Article 2.1. If you accept before the effective date, the new version applies from the effective date. If you do not accept, you can keep using the Services under the old version until the effective date; from the effective date or, if later, 30 days after the first notice reached you, the limited mode in Article 17.5 applies until you accept. A new version containing only other changes applies from its effective date after notice, and Scout records that you were notified. In every case, anything that requires your consent under the Personal Information Protection Act is not treated as accepted by continued use.
17.4 A new version never changes the price, count or validity of anything already bought.
17.5 Limited mode. While limited mode applies under Article 2.2 or 17.3, you can only: view, read-only, the information Scout holds about you (and any linked Child); ask for a copy of your data (export); delete your Account; contact support; read and accept the terms and the Privacy Policy; and change language or sign out. Everything else, including chat, feed, events and attendance, health and training records, transport, payments and purchases, team and club management and notifications, is unavailable until you accept. In limited mode Scout collects no new information and keeps your existing information under the Privacy Policy that applies to you. Limited mode never deletes your Account or data, and ends the moment you accept. For a Child account it ends when a linked Guardian accepts. Anything already bought is unaffected under Article 17.4. Where a coach or club administrator does not accept a new version of the Coach and Club Terms, the Data Processing Agreement or the Payment Processing Agreement, only the organisation features concerned are paused, as those documents provide.
18.1 Korea (Nectr Limited): these terms are governed by the law of the Republic of Korea. Disputes go to the court with jurisdiction under the Korean Civil Procedure Act. You may also use the Korea Consumer Agency's dispute mediation or the e-commerce dispute mediation committee.
18.2 Everywhere else (Team Scout Inc.): these terms are governed by the law of the State of Delaware, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, and disputes go to the courts of Delaware. The UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods does not apply. Where mandatory consumer law of the country where you live gives you more protection, that protection is kept, and consumers in the UK, the EU and Australia may bring a claim in their home courts.
18.3 Nothing in this Article prevents either party seeking an injunction to protect a child or to stop misuse of the Services.
These terms are provided in English and Korean. If the versions differ, the English version applies.
20.1 Scout sends notices to the email on your Account and in the app. You agree to receive notices electronically. Notices to Scout go to the contact block below.
20.2 You may not transfer your Account or this agreement. Scout may transfer it to a successor or affiliate that takes over the Services, with notice, and will not reduce your rights by doing so.
20.3 If part of these terms is unenforceable, the rest still applies. Not enforcing a right is not a waiver of it. These terms and the documents in Article 1.3 are the whole agreement between you and Scout about the Services.
20.4 California residents may contact the Complaint Assistance Unit of the Division of Consumer Services of the California Department of Consumer Affairs under California Civil Code §1789.3.
20.5 An Organisation may have its own rules and privacy notice for its members; where it does, the Organisation is responsible for them and for the personal information it collects for its own purposes.
Addendum: These terms are version scout-terms-v2.1 and take effect on 1 November 2026. For users who registered before 16 October 2026 they apply as set out in Article 2.2. They replace scout-terms-v2 (effective 16 October 2026, corrected 27 October 2026) and, for users who registered before 16 October 2026, the Terms of Use effective 25 March 2025 from the time they apply under Article 2.2.
